Drawing Hands 1: Chubby Baby Hand

Happy new week, artist 🀩

Welcome to a new series of beginner-friendly drawing practices in this Blog. In this Drawing Level 4.1, we will learn how to draw simple hands. I think drawing hands is one of the most basic practices for beginner artists before drawing full human figures.

In this first exercise of hand drawing, I will introduce to you some easy steps to create the following baby hand.

Drawing Hands 1 - Intro

As other beginner tutorials of this Blog, we will start our drawing today by examining the reference photo. Have a look at this baby hand photo and imagine firstly how you will draw it 😍

Since this Drawing Level 4.1 focuses on how to draw hands rather than coloring, this coloring step is just an extra step. You can choose any colors to finish your cute baby hand as you like, and the above version is just an example.

Drawing Hands 1 - Recap

If you are an absolute beginner artist and want to learn how to draw from the most basic items, this Blog might be a useful source for you 😁

You can access all simple step-by-step tutorials via the Blog Navigation. In particular, the Drawing Level 0 and Drawing Level 1 are essential for those who haven’t had much experience drawing before. In Drawing Level 0, I introduced the concept of starting our art journey by drawing imperfect circles. Please check them out by clicking the tab on the right hand side of your screen.

In addition, I provide some cute printable coloring sheets for beginner artists who like practicing coloring more. Please visit my Ko-fi shop and have a look.
